Bushel and Carton visited this weekend. It was nice to see them and spend some time with them. The Christmas decorations finally came down. Can't say if Blueberry was excited about that (probably didn't feel one way or the other). Now the living room at Berrypatch looks bare. What to do, what to do.

Blueberry at 7 weeks, 3 days

Good News! Blueberry has a heartbeat! Not only a heartbeat, but a good rate of 158 beats per minute. Mamaberry and Farmer were amazed to see the little heartbud chugging away. It was quite surreal. As you can see from the picture, Blueberry measured 1.25 cm from crown-to-rump, making Blueberry about the size of a Blueberry. Blueberry's development seems right on track so far. Blueberry even has an estimated harvest date of October 5, 2010, making Blueberry ready during the peak of Blueberry season.

Farmhand gave Mamaberry some anti-nausea medicine that is safe for pregnancy, making Mamaberry very happy, and helping Farmer relax a bit.

Blueberry at 5 weeks

This is a photo from the ultrasound of Blueberry at 5 weeks. Farmer and Mamaberry thought they were further along, but like Puxatawny Phil (aka, the Groundhog's Day Groundhog), it looks like we're in for two more weeks of pregnancy. Mamaberry was NOT pleased. Still, Farmhand (our OB/GYN) said everything looked good.
